Food Tube Forum welcomes all patients who have undergone surgery to repair or remove all or part of their gullet (oesophagus) and/or stomach. We also welcome those who have been diagnosed with problems that might lead to such operations or treatments. We are not medically qualified, so nothing you see on this bulletin board can replace good quality medical advice from your doctor who knows your situation best. These are major surgical operations and we believe that anything appearing on this site should therefore be responsible. Most of our moderators have undergone such surgery and are amongst many who have had a good outcome from treatment and enjoy a good quality of life, sometimes years after their diagnosis. We believe that former patients can provide helpful information and support to new patients, so welcome!
